composition and the creation of a personal visual vocabulary with internationally-known
artist, Jonathan Talbot. Enjoy opportunities for new spontaneity as you
learn his exciting collage technique that eliminates liquid adhesives
from the collage-making process. Other subjects covered include the"paperless"
transfer of printed and photocopied images, tissue overlays, permanency
of materials, preparation of substrates, sources of tools and materials,
presentation and framing of finished works, and more. The Morris Museum
of Arts and Sciences, Marlboro College, The New Jersey Center for Visual
Arts, The Cape Cod Museum of Art, Kansas State University, The Connecticut Graphic Arts Center, Sacred
Heart University, The Mendocino Art Center, Mesa State College, Esalen, The Ohio Watercolor
Society, The Indiana Arts Education Association, The Beaufort Art Association, and Mutual Benefit Life, Inc. are just some of the many organizations
which have hosted past Talbot Workshops, Demonstrations, and Presentations.

NY: COLLAGE TECHNIQUES &

community in which we will all learn from one another. As we explore composition
and refine our personal visual vocabularies we will reflect on past successes
and failures, revise our individual goals, and plan future projects. ///// Together we
will discover new perspectives which will allow us to see our works and
their evolution more clearly. From the formulating of group goals to the
collecting of works for a final critique, this five-day intensive will be
filled with challenging activities designed to increase our technical knowledge,
broaden the scope of our vision, and empower our creative inspiration as
we produce exciting new works. By examining our responses to a variety of
mediums we will find new insights into our individual creative efforts. ///// Subjects for investigation include Acquiring
Visual Language Skills, Collage without Liquid Adhesives, Color Theory,
The Grammar of Visual Language, Paperless Image Transfer, The Mathematics
of Composition, Making Prints from Paintings & Collages, Finding the Muse,

INTENSIVE: New Approaches, Techniques, and Implications.
At the invitation of Ursula Reynolds, Director of River Rock Studio, I will
be returning to this beautiful location in a rural setting between
Calgary and Banff to present a five day collage workshop. During this workshop we will create an intentional artistic
community in which we will all learn from one another. As we explore composition
and refine our personal visual vocabularies we will reflect on past successes
and failures, revise our individual goals, and make concrete and specific
plans for future projects. ///// Together we
will discover new perspectives which will allow us to see our works and
their evolution more clearly. From the formulating of group goals to the
collecting of works for a final critique, this five-day intensive will be
